Enrolments

It is compulsory for a child, resident in Western Australia, to be enrolled in an educational institution from the beginning of the year in which he/she reaches the age of 6 years and 6 months.

Kinross is a local intake school which means that all compulsory aged children who live in the intake area are guaranteed enrolment. Please refer to this map to see our local intake area. On occasion we are able to accept applications for enrolment for students living outside the local intake area, but this is dependent upon room being available within our current class structure.

To enrol at Kinross you will need to complete an Application for Enrolment form. The following information is also essential and must be provided at the time of enrolment.

Birth certificate

identity documents

immunisation certificate

court orders if applicable

proof of address

emergency contact details

details of any disability

any ongoing medical condition and procedure to be followed during the school day. A Health Care Authorisation must be completed.

Pre-Compulsory Education

In line the with Department of Education Enrolment Policy, when the number of applications for kindergarten and pre-primary exceeds the number of places available the applications will be prioritised as follows:

First prioity: residence within the local intake area, sibling enrolled at the school and lives nearest.

Second Priority: residence in lcoal intake area, no siblings enrolled at the school and lives nearest the school.

Third Priority: residence not in the intake area, with a sibling enrolled at the school and lives neearest the school.

Fourth Priority: residence is not in the intake area, no sibling enrolled and lives nearest the school

Mid - year enrolment at Kindergarten and Pre-primary will be accepted only if our class sizes allow.
